Men may be monsters

THis is the music I like to listen to after a hard day
Like waking up with only ten minutes until you have to leave
Or forgetting your track uniform
Or having a nosy boy tell you why and how your fish died in Marine Bio,
as if having dead fish isn't enough (And I still don't think he knows anything...)
Or standing in the rain for 5 hours with pruny toes
Yes.
This is good music that reminds me of feeling accomplished after my race
cuddling in the pouring rain with bestfriends during a track meet
dancing in the rain
looking forward to friday
and eating cookies at lunch

:)

Of Monsters and Men. This band just makes me giddy when I hear them, I love it so much! :)

What is your favorite band?

Sunny Day Cake

Today, instead of working on homework like I had planned,  I made a cake. I found it on this lovely blog.
It was fun and relatively simple to make (which is good for me..) and while although it didn't turn out as pretty as the recipe picture it still tasted great :)

The end result! Feel free to bask in it's glory!

My grandma supervised, isn't she just the cutest?

A Fine Frenzy indeed

I think I'm love. I've found this amazing artist and I can't get enough of her amazing music. It's meant to be.

7 things to make a week better

This week was made ten times better by:

1. Random acts of kindness (like getting an iced tea from a friend you don't know that well, yay!)
2. Watching your bestfriend perform SPECTACULARLY in a musical
3. Babyfaces smooshed up against windows
4. Bestfriends (and their faces)
5. Cool pictures, for good measure
6. It's been a Taylor Swift kind of week

Other things that aren't pictured

7. Laurels Conference (a giant sleepover :))

Quote of the Week

3.7.12

Muscials and illness suck up lives

Yes. I speak the truth.
My high school is putting on the musical of The Sound of Music
and my dear, sweet and kind mother
has volunteered her sewing skills.
yet again.

And, yet again
that means giving up her soul for two weeks
stressing over multiple fabrics, threads and buttons.
All for the Van Trap family.
Luckily, she has two teenage daughters who don't mind assisting her
as best they can in the times of stress.

But even though it's crazy how much effort it takes
she always creates masterpieces.

But other than that, my lackage of posting is due to too much fun running, attending RYLA, an AMAZING leadership camp, sleeping for 13 hours today because of sickness that makes me cough up my lungs every three seconds and just high school in general.

But I promise to post more. I can feel some fun projects coming on soon :)
